Genshin Impact NPC Leaves Liyue for Fontaine: A New Adventure

After a gamer finishes their daily commission mission in Genshin Impact, an NPC departs Liyue to get to Fontaine. It seems to be part of the teasers that HoYoverse has been releasing for the upcoming region, which is said to be released in version 4.0 of Genshin Impact.

Sometimes, when playing Genshin Impact, gamers can come across a unique daily commission from the Adventurer’s Guild that will lead to a special quest chain. When the daily commission is completed, players will be rewarded with Primogems and other common materials. Furthermore, the next mission in the quest line will become available when the daily reset occurs, granting gamers the opportunity to progress and earn exclusive accomplishments. With the recent Genshin Impact updates, a new chapter of a certain daily commission may arise seeing as a related NPC is about to depart from Liyue to Fontaine.

NoobFromPH, a Genshin Impact gamer, completed the daily commission quest of “The Day the Sword Departs” which displays Sun Yu, a Liyue resident, getting ready to go to Fontaine. Sun Yu was uncertain about remaining in Liyue to revive the Guhua clan, and a merchant from Fontaine prompted him to take a trip to explore the rest of the world. The merchant thought this could be a great opportunity for Sun Yu after spending most of his life in Liyue. And after assisting Sun Yu in his preparation for the journey with the merchant, the Traveler swore they’d visit Sun Yu in Fontaine soon.

The Day the Sword Departs quest was included in Genshin Impact version 3.3, but it may be hard to get for some due to the changing daily commissions. After finishing the mission, players received the “To Walk the Horizon…?” accomplishment. Sun Yu then left Liyue and Little Que’er, his companion, gave new dialogue about her feelings for him and the Guhua clan. Even though she felt strongly, she stayed in Liyue and did not go after Sun Yu in Fontaine.

Sun Yu’s journey is a delicate teaser to the Fontaine region, and a fresh daily mission could give Genshin Impact players the opportunity to aid him in getting more comfortable with his new environment. A lot of NPCs from Mondstadt, Inazuma, Liyue and Sumeru are already keen to visit Fontaine, so the Traveler might come across more recognizable faces when version 4.0 is up and running. Also, gamers may anticipate the inclusion of several playable Fontaine characters when the new update is rolled out.

The release of Genshin Impact version 3.7 could bring a new Fontaine character, adding more excitement for the main story’s region. HoYoverse’s upcoming special program is slated to offer details about 3.7, so fans don’t have to wait long for more content.

Genshin Impact is now obtainable for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch variation is being worked on.
