Matthew Griffin, responsible for PR and marketing for Team Cherry, made an announcement on Twitter about the release date of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Originally planned for the first half of 2023, the team has decided against pushing through with the release. Griffin calms the community by assuring them that development is still in progress, in an effort to prevent any worries that the project may be abandoned. He also stated that the title has “gotten quite big” and the team is thrilled with what is to be found in Silksong when it is eventually launched.
No release date has yet been announced for Hollow Knight: Silksong, and the launch period is still unknown. However, the responses to Griffin’s Twitter post were generally quite positive, with people expressing their concern for the quality of the game and the well-being of the game development team. This is likely due to the prevalence of ‘crunch times’ during the production process, and so fans of the game are hoping that the team is able to take care of themselves.
Griffin remarked that as the development of Hollow Knight: Silksong continues, more details will be shared. It is hoped that the team will become more vocal about the game on social media and other outlets, providing more regular updates. The fans of the game will look forward to any news about the title and will be eager for more information.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is being created with the intention of being released on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
