Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Player Uses Unique Method to Request Developer Assistance

A devotee of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has adopted an unusual approach to getting assistance with the game. Released in October 2022, it was met with mostly good reviews, however, people have encountered a number of problems and bugs since its launch.

Recently, an update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 caused it to be unplayable on PC for some gamers with AMD Vega series GPUs. Beenox, the company who develops the PC version of Call of Duty titles, confirmed the issue on April 17, yet a resolution has yet to be released. In an effort to get a fix out sooner, one Call of Duty player attempted an unusual approach to make the development team aware of the problem.

According to VG247 and PC Gamer, a Reddit user with the handle BehindACorpFireWall shared a post that has since been taken down. The post included a picture that showed the user had sent pizza to Beenox with the words “Help Vega Please” written on the box, presumably in an effort to urge the team to address the PC version of Modern Warfare 2. PC Gamer speculates that the box was never delivered to the development team, as it looked like it had been left in a waiting area for security reasons.

The development team was unlikely to be spurred into faster action by the sending of a pizza, however it was a unique way of asking for help. Furthermore, some fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 started a petition that has 369 signatures at the time of this writing, with more in-depth details of the problem.

The issue with AMD Vega series GPUs is not common, however, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have encountered a variety of difficulties since its introduction. For instance, one Modern Warfare 2 gamer experienced a set of strange glitches on the Shipment map. Additionally, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has its distinct list of bugs and issues.

Despite the multiple updates that Activision has released for the most recent Call of Duty titles, issues still exist. It will be intriguing to observe how long it takes for Beenox to correct the difficulties experienced by AMD Vega GPU users, though the free pizza is unlikely to have any effect on the timeline.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can now be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S.
