Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Builds Rocket for New Heights
The innovative gamer who plays The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has constructed a multi-stage rocket in Nintendo’s new open-world game. Although Tears of the Kingdom has only been on the market for a few days, committed players have been exploring the boundaries of what they can do with Link while he attempts to rescue Hyrule.
The newest installment of the renowned franchise does not only extend the substantial open world of Breath of the Wild, but also provides players with the possibility to construct their own armaments and contraptions utilizing Link’s fresh Ultrahand and Fuse capabilities. After the title’s launch on May 12, gamers have been sharing their inventions on social media.
On Reddit, a user called Bishlo engineered a multiphase rocket to launch Link high into the air of Hyrule. This construct consists of three wooden structures which fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. This allows the rocket to detach when the Zonai fuel is used up. Though it did not make it to the Great Sky region above Hyrule, many were nonetheless impressed with how high the rocket flew and are now discussing ideas on how to refine the build.
Tears of the Kingdom offers players the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild with the creation of rockets and other machines. However, some gamers take a more mischievous approach to the game, as evidenced by one player’s decision to crucify a lost Korok rather than reunite it with its companions. A video of the incident was posted to social media and showed the unfortunate creature being paraded through the fields of Hyrule attached to a horse-drawn cart.
Nintendo’s latest adventure introduces players to Link’s new abilities, and many are already taking advantage of the Fuse ability to create diverse weapons. Most of the results are helpful, granting Link extra strength or defensive advantages. Yet one player found out the hard way that not all combinations are so useful, as they crafted one of the least helpful boomerangs in Tears of the Kingdom by combining two components.
Though it is still in its infancy, Tears of the Kingdom has already witnessed incredible feats of customizing from players like Bishlo. Fuse and Ultrahand-enabled creations have caused quite a stir, like the flying death machine one player crafted to wreak havoc in Hyrule. It’s only a matter of time until more astounding builds come to fruition as more players put in their time in the game.
