Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Tutorial – How to Build a Tank

A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has recently demonstrated the power of Tears of the Kingdom‘s building mechanics by providing a tutorial on constructing a tank. The result is an in-game tank that functions with a driveable ability, a working cannon, and even a patrolling trophy system.

In a short period of time, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players have already crafted some amazing projects, from basic items to Star Wars TIE fighters that can soar through the sky. While these creations are visually pleasing, they don’t offer much help during a fight. Now, a clever fan has revealed how to construct a tank that actually functions in this latest installment of the Legend of Zelda series.

An impressive display of aerial acrobatics was recently put on by a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player as part of a “Hyrule Airshow”.

A Reddit user by the name of AlfredoTheImpasta recently posted a detailed tutorial about constructing a fully operational tank using Zonai devices. Unlike the aesthetically pleasing Metal Gear REX from the game Tears of the Kingdom, this tank is not just a show-piece; it can actually be driven and used to attack nearby enemies. The tutorial explains the steps necessary to assemble the tank, along with how to use a spring for a door, three small wheels as tank treads, and a sled for the tank gun. The video even goes as far as to demonstrate how to build a working trophy system, which is a type of protection system used with actual tanks to protect them against anti-tank rockets and other high-explosive rounds.

In only a few hours the majority of Tears of the Kingdom players should be able to work out how to construct a car. Nevertheless, few people will be able to construct a tank by themselves. It’s quite astonishing how many Zonai devices are required to build the tank. The components needed are six small wheels, four carts, three sleds, two beam emitters, one spring, one steering wheel, one cannon, and one stake to aid the assembly.
